Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller Dhurandhar 2, headlined by Ranveer Singh, enjoyed a dream run at the box office during its first four weeks, emerging as one of the biggest successes of the year. The film remained largely unstoppable, consistently drawing audiences to theatres. However, its momentum now appears to be slowing down following the release of Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla.
Day 31 collections show slowdown despite weekend growth
According to the latest update from Sacnilk, Dhurandhar 2 collected ₹4.65 crore on its 31st day. While this marks a slight improvement over Friday’s ₹2.70 crore, the growth was expected due to the typical Saturday footfall. Despite the uptick, the numbers indicate a clear dip in momentum.

With this, the film’s total India gross collection stands at ₹1328.46 crore, while the India net collection has reached ₹1110.47 crore so far.
Bhooth Bangla eats into box office share
The box office performance of Dhurandhar 2 has been impacted by the release of Bhooth Bangla. The horror-comedy, starring Akshay Kumar and Tabu, has taken over a significant number of screens and is drawing a strong audience response.
On just its second day in theatres, Bhooth Bangla collected over ₹15 crore, signalling a solid start and directly affecting the hold of Dhurandhar 2.
A record breaking run
Despite the recent slowdown, Dhurandhar 2 has already etched its name in box office history. The film crossed the ₹1000 crore mark earlier this month, becoming the first Bollywood film to achieve this milestone in India.
It has also surpassed the lifetime India collections of major blockbusters such as RRR (₹782.20 crore), Kalki 2898 AD (₹646 crore), and KGF: Chapter 2 (₹859.70 crore). Additionally, it has moved ahead of popular titles like Jawan, Pathaan, Stree 2, and Animal.

About Dhurandhar 2
Dhurandhar 2 was released in theatres on March 19 in Hindi and multiple South Indian languages, with paid previews held on March 18.
The first instalment featured Ranveer Singh as an Indian spy infiltrating criminal networks in Lyari to dismantle a terror organisation targeting India, while rising within Pakistan’s underworld. The story was set against real geopolitical events such as the Kandahar hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
The sequel expands on this narrative, tracing the transformation of Ranveer Singh’s character into Hamza Ali Mazari. It explores his rise to power in Lyari and his mission to dismantle a terror network operating in Pakistan. A key highlight of the film is the intense face-off between Ranveer Singh and Arjun Rampal.
The film also features R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, Danish Pandor, and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles.
